Ms. Smith is a member of the California State Bar, as well as the Contra Costa Bar Association, and admitted to practice law in the United States District Courts of the Northern, Eastern and Southern Districts. She has co-tried several cases to verdict. She specializes in medical malpractice defense.

Ms. Smith graduated from University of California at Davis in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in Managerial Economics. She attended University of California at Davis, School of Law, receiving her J.D. degree in 1998.
